Avoid blurry images, heavy shadows across the face, or photos where your pet is very far from the camera. A single pet per image produces the most detailed portrait — though we do support multi-pet photos.

Our AI is trained on thousands of classical and contemporary art styles. When you upload your photo, it analyses your pet's features — coat texture, eye shape, expression — and reimagines them in your chosen artistic style. The result is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece that captures your pet's personality while honouring centuries of artistic tradition. No two portraits are ever exactly alike.

Portrait generation typically takes 20–60 seconds depending on server load. You'll see a live progress indicator while your masterpiece is being crafted. If generation takes longer than 2 minutes, please refresh and try again — your upload will still be available.

Absolutely. You can regenerate your portrait as many times as you like before purchasing — each generation is completely free. Each attempt uses a different creative interpretation, so you may get a subtly different result each time. Only pay when you're completely happy with your portrait.

Dogs and cats produce the most detailed results, but our AI works wonderfully with rabbits, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, horses, reptiles, and most other beloved companions. As long as there's a clear photo of your pet, we can transform them into royalty.

We currently offer five signature styles: Renaissance Royal (rich oil tones, classical regalia), Regal Oil (loose brushwork in the Dutch master tradition), Modern Minimal (clean lines, contemporary gallery aesthetic), Watercolour Whimsy (soft washes, painterly edges), and Cosmic Royalty (celestial drama, deep space atmosphere). New styles are added regularly.

Yes! In the studio, you can select from a curated collection of royal props including crowns, ruffled collars, velvet capes, armour, sceptres, and more. Props are included in the AI prompt and the model will incorporate them tastefully into the composition. Results vary — some props integrate more naturally than others depending on your pet's pose.

Yes — we release new styles seasonally. Sign up to our email list (available at checkout) to be notified first. Previous customers can also regenerate their portraits in new styles at no extra generation cost.

We offer three formats: Digital Download ($19) — a high-resolution 4K file delivered instantly to your email, perfect for personal printing or screen display. Printed & Framed Portrait ($79) — premium giclée print at 12×16", mounted in your chosen frame finish, delivered in 5–7 business days. Gallery Canvas (+$60 upgrade) — a hand-stretched 20×24" canvas printed on artist-grade material, ideal for statement walls.

Australia: 3–8 business days after dispatch. Express courier options are available at checkout.

Your portrait is fulfilled via Prodigi's global print network and printed at a facility closest to you, which keeps both delivery times and shipping costs down. You'll receive a tracking link by email once your order ships. Digital downloads are delivered to your inbox within minutes of payment.

Yes, we ship worldwide. International orders are lovingly packed in protective art tubes or rigid flat-pack boxes to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient and vary by country.

All prints ship from climate-controlled facilities in acid-free tissue paper, sandwiched between rigid backing boards inside a bespoke Pawtré Studio box. Framed portraits are additionally bubble-wrapped and corner-protected. We take the same care with your order as if we were shipping our own art.

We partner with Prodigi, a global print-on-demand fulfilment network with production facilities across Australia, the UK, the EU, the USA and Asia. Once your portrait is finalised, your order is routed to the facility closest to your shipping address. This means faster delivery, lower carbon miles, and consistent museum-grade quality wherever you are in the world.

Framed prints are produced on premium giclée fine-art paper using archival pigment inks rated for 100+ years of fade resistance under normal indoor lighting. Canvas editions are printed on artist-grade poly-cotton canvas, hand-stretched over solid wood bars and finished with a protective satin varnish.

Because Prodigi prints locally in most major regions, the majority of orders are treated as domestic shipments and incur no customs charges. For orders shipped across borders (e.g. to remote regions), any import duties, VAT/GST, or local taxes are the recipient's responsibility and assessed on delivery. We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal — all processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your card details at any point. All transactions are 256-bit SSL encrypted.

Completely. Pawtré Studio never handles raw payment data — all transactions are processed directly by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment provider trusted by millions of businesses globally. You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure hosted checkout page to complete your purchase.

All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) by default. Stripe will automatically convert to your local currency at checkout based on your card's billing country. The final charge will reflect your bank's current exchange rate.

Your uploaded photo is used solely to generate your portrait. It is processed in memory and is not stored permanently on our servers after generation is complete. We do not use your pet photos to train AI models, share them with third parties, or use them for any marketing purposes without your explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Upon purchase, you receive a personal, non-commercial licence to use your portrait for home display, gifting, and personal enjoyment. Commercial use (e.g. selling prints, merchandise, or using the portrait in advertising) requires a separate commercial licence — please contact us to discuss.

If your portrait arrives damaged or with a printing defect, email us at hello@pawtrestudio.com within 14 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging. We'll arrange a free replacement at no cost to you — no need to return the damaged piece. See our Returns Policy for full details.

Because every portrait is custom-made just for you, we can't accept returns for change of mind. However, if you're unhappy with the artwork itself, we'll happily regenerate it in a different style or pose before printing — and we'll always do everything we can to make it right.
